Ophelia

This thread sketch is based off a painting done by British artist Sir John Everett Millais painted in 1852. It depicts the character Ophelia from William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet singing to herself right before she drowns. This is one of my favorite paintings from the time period and I think it make a beautiful thread sketch!!

Next month I am traveling to Las Vegas for my work! I will be showing all my thread sketches at a special sewing event called VDTA and I am beyond excited. So this month I a making 4 brand new thread sketches to take with me. Ophelia is number one!!
